On September 28, 2026, Enid's Metropolitan Area Planning Commission voted 6-1 and 5-2 to recommend the rezoning requests for Project Thunderbird. The City Commission moved its hearing from October 6 to a special meeting on October 27, 2026, at 5 p.m. at the Stride Bank Center Grand Ballroom, to fit more people.
