π Data center rules
Murray City Council unanimously passed zoning rules for data centers, based on a model from the Kentucky Resources Council. Data centers need a special permit that is reviewed every year, with yearly reports on power use. The rules cover fencing, noise, landscaping and utilities. They apply only inside city limits.
