⏸️ Pause on new data centers
Camden County became the first county on the Georgia coast to pause data centers. It only covers land outside city limits. The vote came as a landowner sought to rezone about 700 acres along I-95 near Kingsland for a data center. In late September 2026 the county held a work session on a data center ordinance for when the pause ends in February.
