Town Council passed Ordinance 2026-08-03-03, a six-month pause on data center development. The town, its Planning and Zoning Board and Water Board are holding public information sessions during the pause.

Council approved a 12-month sales and use tax break for DigiPowerX while it builds its data center. In return the company will pay the city $3.5 million as a 'community impact payment'.
