Greenville's Village Board voted 5-0 for a one-year freeze on new data centers of 10,000 square feet or more. Staff will study effects on health and safety. It ends sooner if the village adopts data center rules.

Kaukauna unanimously added data centers to its zoning code. A data center can only go in the industrial district as a special exception, with a public hearing for each one, and the city can limit its water and power use. There is no project in the city.
