Cielo Digital Infrastructure data center campus on Ford Road

Cielo plans a $2.1 billion campus of four data center buildings and a power substation on Ford Road east of Gaffney. It could use up to 300 megawatts and open by the end of 2028 with about 30 jobs.
Where things stand: Cherokee County signed a $2.1 billion incentive deal in 2025; operations planned by end of 2028.
