Proposed
Project Astralus data center and gas power plant (Yellow Creek Township)
Also called: Zuharis data center
A company called Zuharis plans an AI data center with its own power plant on about 510 acres in Yellow Creek Township. It says the first 500 megawatts could open in 2027, with another 500 after that. It would take water from the Ohio River. Many residents who came to the meeting were against it.
Where things stand: Company held a public meeting in May 2026 and says it has its permits. Building was planned to start in fall 2026.
🕒 Latest update (May 2026): Zuharis held a public meeting at the Highlandtown fire station. About 100 people came.
