A developer wanted 300 acres of farmland south of I-70 rezoned for data centers. After a packed hearing with strong opposition, the request was pulled. The developer says interest in the land has not gone away.
Where things stand: Land owners withdrew the rezoning request on Sept. 29, 2025, two days before the county vote. The developer says it may try again.
