Google plans a $1 billion, 500,000 sq. ft. data center on about 792 acres south of Franklin Furnace. Ohio EPA approved a permit for earth moving but asked for more study on wetlands, flooding and drinking water. Many residents oppose it; Google says it will pay its full power costs.
