Proposed
Holtec HI-CLOUD data center idea at Indian Point (Buchanan)
Also called: HI-CLOUD, Proposed Datacenters at 450 Broadway, Buchanan
Holtec, which is taking apart the closed Indian Point nuclear plant, wants to use part of the site for a 1-million-square-foot, 200-megawatt data center it calls HI-CLOUD. It asked the state grid operator for power in October 2024. The Village of Buchanan would have to approve it.
Where things stand: Holtec asked the grid operator for 200 megawatts. No local application found; it would need Village of Buchanan approval.
🕒 Latest update (Sept 2025): Holtec presented its HI-CLOUD plan for a 200-megawatt data center at the site.
