WhiteFiber NC-2 and NC-3 data centers (former Unifi sites)
Also called: NC-2, NC-3
WhiteFiber plans to turn two Unifi industrial sites in Yadkinville, about 120 acres in all, into data centers. It wants 60 megawatts by summer 2027 and maybe 200 later.
Where things stand: Purchase of two Unifi sites expected to close in fall 2026; first power targeted for summer 2027. The county moratorium does not apply inside town limits.
π Latest update (Aug 2026): Yadkin County adopted a two-year moratorium for unincorporated areas; these town sites are not covered.
