An Atlanta company proposed a 600 MW data center campus on 569 acres near Great Falls in 2025. It dropped the plan in November 2025 because it could not get power fast enough.

A local conservation group gave county commissioners a petition with about 250 signatures. It asks for a county pause on very large data centers until rules are in place, and asks the county to push the state utility commission and the governor for protections for power customers. We found no county vote on it yet.
