Proposed
Geronimo Power data center park (near La Russell)
Also called: Jasper County Powered Data Park, Spring River solar
Geronimo Power, a Minnesota company, is looking at land in eastern Jasper County for a large data center park powered partly by a new solar farm. Plans are early and no customer has signed. Because the land is outside any city, the county has no zoning power over it.
Where things stand: Early stage: the company is talking to officials and landowners. No customer yet. The county has no zoning there.
๐ Latest update (March 30, 2026): Company presented the solar farm plan to Lawrence County commissioners; dozens of residents objected.
