Data center at former Androscoggin Mill

A $550 million data center was planned at the old paper mill in Jay. The partner company backed out in June 2026, so the plan is on hold. The mill owner says it is talking to other companies.

- April 22, 2026Site owner said a statewide 20 MW cap would end the project.
- April 24, 2026Gov. Mills vetoed the statewide data center ban, naming the Jay project as her reason.
