County commissioners voted unanimously for a six-month pause on new data center development while the county reviews its rules. It came days after Amazon dropped plans for data centers at the Calvert Cliffs nuclear plant.
β Turned down
Commissioners voted 2-3 against drafting a two-year data center pause. In a separate 3-0 vote (two abstained), they told staff to draft zoning changes to remove data centers from light industrial and mixed-use zones.
