What happened so far
- Jan 6, 2025West Feliciana Planning & Zoning Commission and parish council approved the site plan.
- Dec 17, 2025Hut 8 and the state announced the River Bend campus (up to $10 billion) and a 245 MW lease to Fluidstack.
- 2026Parish approved a $10 million early payment from Hut 8 in place of property taxes.

🤝 Agreement with the company
Parish approved a deal where Hut 8 pays $10 million early, on July 1, 2026, out of its future payments in place of taxes. The parish pays it back, with no interest, from the first regular payment due in 2027. Money goes to school pay raises, roads, water and the sheriff.
