Project Bluestem data center campus south of Tonganoxie
Also called: Project Bluestem, Bluestem Data Center
Cloverleaf Infrastructure wants to build a 1,000-acre data center campus south of Tonganoxie, with its own gas power plants. It could use up to 1.2 gigawatts of power. The company says it would set aside 330 acres for conservation. Many residents oppose it.
Where things stand: No approval yet. The county's 90-day moratorium ended in August 2026; county data center rules are still being written.
π Latest update (Sept 2026): Cloverleaf updated its plan, doubling the power estimate to up to 1.2 gigawatts and adding a second gas plant.
