Equinix data center campus north of Minooka (Ridge and Holt roads)
Also called: Equinix CH8
Equinix is building seven data center buildings on about 368 acres north of Minooka, including an AI campus of four large buildings. It uses dry cooling, which saves water but uses more power. Full opening was planned for about 2031.
Where things stand: Village trustees approved it in Sept. 2025. Dirt work began around the end of 2025; the village says it is under construction.
