Nexstar data center campus at WGN radio transmitter site (Rohlwing Road)
Nexstar, which owns WGN radio, plans up to four data center buildings on the radio tower site in Elk Grove Village. The towers would be moved a bit north. Construction must start by Sept. 30, 2027.
Where things stand: Village approved a deal with Nexstar in July 2023. In Jan. 2026 it grew to up to four buildings and the start deadline moved to Sept. 30, 2027.
