CoreSite DE3 data center campus in Elyria-Swansea
Also called: CoreSite DE3, CoreSite Denver campus
CoreSite is building a three-building data center campus on 15 acres in Denver's Elyria-Swansea neighborhood. At full size it could use 65 to 75 megawatts and up to 805,000 gallons of water a day at peak. Neighbors have raised water and noise concerns.
Where things stand: First building nearly done in 2026; two more phases planned on the 15-acre site. Denver's moratorium does not stop permitted work.
π Latest update (Oct 6, 2025): CoreSite said the first building, DE3 (180,000 sq ft), reached a key construction step and should open in 2026.

βΈοΈ Pause on new data centers
Denver City Council voted unanimously for a one-year pause on permits and site plans for new data centers. It took effect May 21, 2026. Data centers already running or already permitted (like CoreSite's DE3) can keep going, but CoreSite's two later buildings are on hold.
