Patmos data center in former Fairfield Walmart
Also called: Patmos tech campus
Patmos wants to turn the old Fairfield Walmart into a data center that rents space to many companies. It would start at about 20 megawatts. Residents raised worries about health, noise and power bills.
Where things stand: Needs a City Council vote. The city's temporary data center ban does not apply to this proposal.
π Latest update (Aug 12, 2026): Hundreds of residents attended a town hall on the plan at the Fairfield Civic Center.
