Residents filed three referendum petitions to force a public vote on the Project Mustang ordinances, and started recall petitions against all eight council members and the mayor. On June 25 the city said the referendum petitions were legally invalid because state steps were not followed before signatures were gathered. Recall signature gathering continued in July; no recall election was set.
