⏸️ Pause on new data centers

County commissioners voted 3-0 for Resolution 2026-51. It says the county opposes data centers, including one proposed at Spaceport America, and sets an 18-month pause on approving or supporting any data center 'to the extent permitted by law.' The county will study water, power, farming and other impacts. The pause does not directly cover state trust land at the Spaceport.
