Manchester introduced Ordinance 26-48 on Aug. 26, 2026. It repeals the 2025 rule that allowed data centers on the Stavola property off South Hope Chapel Road and states that data centers are not permitted anywhere in the township. The final vote was set for Sept. 14.

Brick's council unanimously introduced an ordinance that defines data centers as their own land use and bans them in every zone, so they can't be treated as warehouses. No data center exists or has been proposed in Brick. We did not confirm the final vote.
