Cherry Hill's council unanimously passed an ordinance that lists large data centers as a use not allowed in the township. Small server rooms for a single business are still allowed.

Winslow Township passed on first reading (April 14) an ordinance that bans data centers, crypto mining and server farms in all zones outside the Pinelands area. The hearing and final vote were set for May 26, 2026. News reports list Winslow among South Jersey towns with a ban.
