π Data center rules
St. Cloud is writing its first data center zoning rules, before any developer has applied. Smaller 'enterprise' data centers would be capped at 2,000 servers, 10,000 square feet and 50 megawatts; bigger ones count as hyperscale. After a hearing on Sept. 8, the planning commission voted 5-1 to delay its vote to October.
