⏸️ Pause on new data centers

A bill to ban new private data centers (Bill 63-26) was changed into a 15-month pause, ending about January 2028. Projects already in development, and expansions of existing data centers, can go ahead. A study group will suggest rules. The council voted unanimously for the change; final passage was set for Oct. 5, 2026.
