County board approved 13 rules for future data centers in the parts of the county it zones. They cover noise, landscaping screens, water source and use, battery size and plans for taking the site down later. Builders must report expected power use and environmental effects.
⏸️ Pause on new data centers
City council voted unanimously to pause data centers bigger than 5 megawatts for six months. At least two public hearings must happen during the pause. The council can extend it.
