Local votes and rules

⏸️ Pause on new data centers · Unincorporated Flagler County

County commissioners unanimously passed a one-year pause on all new data centers, of any size, in unincorporated Flagler County. They removed a 'large-scale only' limit before the vote. The county will write data center rules during the year. Cities such as Palm Coast are not covered.

🗺️ Zoning change · Palm Coast

City staff proposed code changes that list data centers as a prohibited use except by special approval. Any data center would need 4 of 5 council votes and could only go in industrial areas. The cable-landing data center already being built in Town Center is not affected. We did not find the final vote.
