A neighborhood commission in Ward 1 passed a resolution (Res. #1E-2026-109). It asks the D.C. Public Service Commission to stop the costs of serving data centers and other very big power users from being passed on to residents' bills. It backs the work of the Office of the People's Counsel, the D.C. office that speaks for utility customers. It also asks DC Water to explain its planned rate increases for 2027 and 2028.
